Grease Monkey Cycles is a bike care company with collection, delivery and courtesy bikes, all designed to make looking after peoples bikes as hassle free as possible for them. We collect bikes at convenient times and service or repair them at our workshops, this is efficient, environmentally friendly and professional – we hold most parts in stock so we can service bikes properly, and within 48 hours.
We want to grow our team and network of service centres through franchising. Quite simply you become a business partner in a specific location or locations. This is a vital part of our expansion and scaling plans to make Grease Monkey Cycles the leading brand and the go to for bike care and repair.
As a GMC franchise owner you’ll be running a busy service centre, managing the servicing and repair of bicycles, to include a collection and delivery facility. You’ll initially be ‘hands-on’, trained to run your franchise while you repair and service bikes but as the business grows using our proven marketing tools you might want to employ technicians.
You will receive initial training lasting 2 weeks at our headquarters in Edinburgh learning the safe operation of a branch, administration, financial management, marketing, systems and controls. After this period support will be on hand to help you successfully grow your business.
We will help you select and fit out a suitable premises to operate from, help with marketing pre and post launch. Our electronic systems will be installed on a tablet for you to simply plug in and play. Our operations manual will be available to you and we will even supply branded workwear to get you started. Once up and running, you will have the benefits of our supply chain and the trade terms and discounts we have negotiated.
The initial franchise fee is £17,500 + vat. Up to 70% of the total investment in a Grease Monkey Cycles franchise can be financed.
